The event brought together representatives of all institutions involved in the project\u2014Palack\u00fd University, Charles University, and CEITEC\u2013Brno University of Technology.” font_size=”2vw” font_size_phone=”5vw” font_line_height=”1.3″][\/split_line_heading][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”25″][vc_column_text]\u201cThe aim of the workshop was to share our achievements so far, discuss our research directions, and strengthen our cooperation. The presentations covered materials design that goes beyond the nanoscale and their use in various applications, including nanomedicine, sensing, catalysis, and energy storage. Face-to-face meetings are very valuable as they give us time to showcase our results, meet informally, exchange knowledge and insights and come up with new ideas. All of this can then be transformed into new activities and projects,\u201d said the project\u2019s principal investigator, Michal Otyepka from CATRIN.<\/p>\n

The benefits of the event were also confirmed by another speaker, Michal Mazur from Charles University. \u201cMeetings like this are essential for conducting complementary research and working effectively within the Consortium. It\u2019s important for me to know what the others are engaged in and which methods they use. In turn, I can present my own results and offer our methods. I think the workshop was very beneficial,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The mission of TECHSCALE is to design a new generation of nanomaterials for applications in energy, catalysis, sensing, and theranostics. The common denominator of these innovations is the breakthrough method of single-atom engineering, which makes it possible to tune materials properties down to the atomic level.
