The TECHSCALE project has reached another important milestone. On 23 February 2026, its International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) held its third official meeting, bringing together project leaders and expert advisers to review progress and discuss the road ahead.
The meeting opened with remarks from Prof. Michal Otyepka, followed by an update on the overall status of the project and how earlier ISAB recommendations have been put into practice. Leaders of Work Packages 1 to 4 then presented the latest developments in their areas, leading into a wider discussion on future priorities.
The outcome was clear: the board delivered six key recommendations designed to help strengthen the project’s long-term impact and improve its path towards practical use. These include choosing a clear valorisation pathway, working more closely with the Technology Transfer Office, preparing a comprehensive business plan, tackling challenges in identifying suitable partners, establishing an Industry Advisory Group, and ensuring stronger alignment with industry needs across the consortium.
Project partners agreed to take these recommendations forward as part of the next phase of TECHSCALE. Together, the steps are expected to sharpen the project’s market potential and reinforce the connection between scientific excellence and real-world application.
